The thing with big ears is supposed to be a caricature of Itoi I think. Because he has big ears or something, I dunno.

As for that manga stuff, I have the manga but haven’t read it. But you should contact kenisu on the starmen.net forums, he’s been translating that manga bit by bit for a while now, he’ll probably be able to answer your questions.

Okay , here are my seven main questions about Itoh’s comic … 1. What is Ness’s dog explaining to Ness in pages 22 & 23 ? Does he fill Buzz Buzz’s role as the messenger of future events ? 2. What is the story behind Twin Pigs village ? 3. Is the character who appears to be Andross from Star Fox in any way related to Andross in theme or personality ? 4. Who is that melting man that Pokey seems to introduce to Ness at the concert ? 5. Who is the trench coat man in Twin Pigs ? What’s going on in page 151 , where there are pictures of Paula in various kinds of bodies ? Finally , what is Pokey’s relationship to Giygas in the story ? They appear at the end to have some sort of connection , but not the same as in the game . Thank you very much , and please contact me with the answers if you find time .

Hello . I enjoy reading about the Mother series impact on popular culture , albeit Japanese popular culture . I look forward to posts like this , and especially posts where Itoi’s blog entries are translated . But I was wondering , what is that big-eared monkey thing , that seems to be the mascot of Itoi’s site , supposed to represent ? Also , and this is sort of off topic , I purchased Benimaru Itoh’s Mother 2 comic off of ebay last year and , having no understanding of Japanese , I would be most grateful if you could answer a few questions about it . As I am not internet savvy , I don’t know of any other way to pursue these answers . I hope it’s okay if I ask these questions in a second comment post , since I have limited space here .
